adhdclinic.uk is an information website about ADHD in adults in the UK. It aims to explain adult ADHD clearly and practically, from recognising symptoms to assessment, treatment and daily life.
What this website is
This is an information website. It does not provide clinical services, diagnose conditions, prescribe medication or give individual medical advice. Despite the name, this website is not itself a clinic.
The information is for adults aged 18 and over. It isn’t intended for children or young people. Parents and carers worried about a child should speak to their child’s school or a GP, and can read the NHS page on ADHD in children and young people.
Funding and Happy Clinic
In the interests of transparency, this website is run by the owners of Happy Clinic, a private online psychiatry service for adults, and it links to Happy Clinic.
This means:
- Buttons and booking links on this site lead to Happy Clinic’s website.
- Where pages describe private ADHD care, they use Happy Clinic’s services and fees as the example.
- Pages also explain NHS options, including Right to Choose in England, so readers can make an informed choice.
Consultations mentioned on this website are provided by Happy Clinic, which is regulated by the Care Quality Commission (CQC). Happy Clinic’s consultations are carried out by video with GMC-registered consultant psychiatrists, and it sees adults aged 18 and over across the UK.
Happy Clinic does not see children, provide psychological therapy, provide emergency or crisis care, assess or treat dementia or memory problems, or write medico-legal or benefits reports.
Editorial approach
Sources
Pages are based on authoritative UK sources, including:
- NICE guidance, especially guideline NG87 on ADHD
- the NHS website
- GOV.UK, for topics like driving, work and student support
- NHS England
- professional and charity organisations, such as the BMA, Mind, Acas and ADHD UK
Each page lists its sources at the bottom. Figures on this site come from the sources listed on the page where they appear.
Writing style
Pages are written in plain English for UK adults. They aim to be calm, accurate and practical, without exaggerating benefits or risks. Where the evidence is limited or the rules are changing, the pages say so.
Updates
Each page shows the date it was last updated. Health guidance, NHS services and fees can change, so pages are reviewed regularly. Fees on this site were checked in September 2026, and Happy Clinic’s pricing page is always the most up-to-date source.
Medical review
Review of these pages by a qualified clinician is pending. Until review is complete, please treat the content as general information, and check anything important with your GP, a pharmacist or a specialist.
If you need urgent help
Neither this website nor Happy Clinic provides emergency or crisis care.
